Frequently asked questions
Can I mix multiple rooms or sections?
Yes. Add one row per rectangular section — for example separate rows for a living room, hallway and closet — and the tool totals them automatically.
What if my room isn't rectangular?
Split it into rectangular sections and enter each one as its own row. Adding an L-shaped room as two rectangles gives an accurate total.
Should I add waste for square footage?
It depends on what you're using the total for. For flooring or tiling, a small waste allowance (5-10%) is common; for simple area estimates, 0% is fine.
